Move It

On Friday 16th March 40 students from across the year groups went on an exciting trip to the Move It dance event in Olympiad in London to watch and take part in the biggest dance exhibition in the UK.

Students watched performances, browsed the stands and attended two dance workshops, one on Hip Hop and the other Contemporary African Dance.

Aims

  • To give students a broad range of experiences to further their understanding of dance.
  • To watch professionals in action.
  • To exam movements and steps which can be adapted into their own work.
  • To inspire students.
  • To promote clubs in school
  • To promote GCSE dance amongst lower school
  • To promote dance as a career option.
