Once again the Art Dept have pulled out the stops to create yet another fantastic end of year art exhibition. The school corridors were
transformed into an art gallery to show off the work of GCSE Yr 11 students,
CAOS Youth and teachers pictures.
The exhibition was attended by Micheal Barnes,Mayor of Swindon and his lady wife and Swindon Advertiser editor Mark Waldron who is a patron of the school. After
opening the event he presented his Editor's Choice Award to the work of Eloise Harding who created a colourful portrait of her friend using paint and image manipulation package.
The editor found it very hard to pick just one picture." There is such a lot of quality work. Picking
out just one piece was probably the hardest thing I will do this week."
Tara Parker, Head of Art, was over joyed at the turn out for the launch event. "Each year just gets better and better," she remarked. Best in Show was awarded to Sam Lee for his conceptual piece, 'Chave In A Box.'
