As part of our commitment to the community we have once again submerged ourselves in the Old Town Festival. On 18th & 25th June our students took part in Street Theatre to entertain the crowds. Prior to this a selection of drama orientated students were fortunate to able to participate in
a bespoke Street Theatre workshop
with Mark Bishop from the internationally acclaimed The Natural Theatre Company.
On 15th June the school hosted the OTF Carnival Queen and Princess competition. The criteria for entry was for girls aged between 11-16 years who go to school or live in Old Town. Carnival Queen was won by Summer Andrews, runner up Eliesha Kay Dean. Carnival Princess was won by Saskia Kivern, runner up Simone Lyons.
25th June saw the return of the Commonweal Community Performing Arts Marquee on The Lawn. This saw performances of music and dance from all areas of the community including Lethbridge Primary School, Romanska School Of Dance, Swindon Scratch Choir, Stagecoach Theatre Co., King William Primary School, Kitchen Sink Dramas, JTP Trust junior and senior choirs, Tanwood School of Performing Arts, Julie Scott's Academy of Performing Arts, Empire Theatre Co, The Bollywood Dreamers and of course Commonweal School of Performing Arts.
