Yr 6 Extend Summer School

Once again our summer school has proved very popular. Over a hundred Yr 6 students came up to school for the first week of the holidays to participate in transition workshops, delivered by Commonweal staff. These included Dance delivered by Miss Cunliffe, Drama delivered by Mrs Williams, Sports with Mr Garlick, Science with Miss Gingell and art with Miss Holland.

This week is a fun and informative and gives the children the chance to get to know the teachers and other children who are coming up in September. It is an ideal way for children to become familiar with the layout of the school.

Current Commonweal students also gave up their time to help sign children in both at the start of the morning and at the end of the sessions. They also helped teachers in the class. Thanks to the following students for their enthusiasm and commitment:-

Tamsyn Smith, Frankie Lyons, Aidan Menham, Sam Jones, Emily Moore, Vandna Odedra, Jeremy Foster, Jannatul Ferdous, Connor Wood (ex student), Thomas Hawk-Vango, Brandon Jones, Summer Andrews, Georgia Martin.

Thanks also to Claire Reddaway, Nadia Lewis, Frankie Williams and Nick Weaver
