Big Hat Cabaret

Staged at The Arts Centre on Friday 8th July, this very special show was once again a virtual sell out!

All partners work towards one goal and that is too help people in Swindon irrespective of age, race or disability to reach their full potential. The confidence and self -esteem gained is transferable across all areas of their lives. The acts at the cabaret are a culmination of many months work The acts feature group users and their teachers and support workers. Our aim is to encourage more groups to join us and become a real force for arts in disability in Swindon.

Lauren Mill from our Physically Impaired Unit sang a beautiful rendition of Adele’s, Someone Like You. The smiles on her face said it all! Equally the film produced by the PI unit entitled, ‘All In A Day’s Work,’ gave a behind the scene view of day to day life and was a fun and informative film and left me with a lump in my throat such were my feelings of pride. Thank you to all for making it such a great success.

The Big Hat Network are: Commonweal School, Swindon Dance, Reach Inclusive Arts, Upham Road Day Centre, Music Alive Crowdy’s Hill and the Adult Placement Service.
