Switch Anti Smoking Film Advert
Our school was selected to make two TV adverts to highlight the dangers of smoking. This is being filmed by Create Studios and is in asssociation with the Borough Drugs and Advisory Board.
The students involved have been very focused and professional in their approach. Some of the students have been so inspired that they would like to pursue fim as a career. Later in the year the films will be showcased and a winner will be announced.
One film was about the choices we make in life and the damage it can cause to babies. The other film explored issues around the cost of smoking.
"I really enjoyed working on this project and creating an advert with such an important message. Smoking is a big health problem and it is good to be involved in a project that could change someone's point of view. I also enjoy taking part in competitions and this is what this is! This is also a good chance to improve your skills as working as a team. I think we have a good chance of going further in this competition and I hope there are more opportunities like this in the future." Tallulah Lyons
