In partnership with Swindon Music Service Commonweal have embarked on the 'Sing Up' project'. The project aims to encourage and nurture young singing leaders to go out into the community to help others to sing.

The Chamber Choir have been involved in this venture, and the girls have delivered workshops at Even Swindon and Lethbridge Primary Schoos teaching songs to the year 6 students. The songs were written by our very own song writer Nick Weaver and have been recorded for inclusion in the next Commonweal School CD.

Term three the girls made visits to Lethbridge School to work with their year 6 students.

As part of the 'Sing Up' project, the Chamber Choir have attended Isambard School for a workshop in singing leading and picked up various hints and tips on teaching warmups and songs be the professionals.

We hosted a singing leaders workshop on February 24th with Brenda Rattray "One of Britain's leading jazz gospel singers". Students from across Swindon attended as well as those involved in the Sing Up project here at Commonweal.
