Dance INSET KS 1 & 2

Part of our performing arts objectives is to provide continued professional development for our feeder schools. The last time this was attempted it didn't attract enough teachers and
we had to cancel. This time Josie Williams, our community arts development officer invited all 67 primary schools in the borough and
all 25 places on the course were
soon taken!

Delivered by our head of dance Louise Harman on 25th January from 4 - 6pm the workshop was a practical session to give teachers ideas on how to develop dance routines to enhance topics in their schemes of work.

This included warm ups to devising performances, how to design a unit of work and essential dance resources.

A very successful event that the participants would like to develop further later in the year.
