Sticks and Stones

Swindon-based theatre company, Partners, supported by Reach Inclusive Arts, performed to Yr 7 early October with a highly sensitive and creative piece of work called Sticks and Stones. It looked at the gradual build up of anxiety and unhappiness when a girl is the victim of bullying and it is motivated by homophobia.

The company used forum theatre to allow students to replay certain scenes and guide the actors towards a happier ending. Students gave positive advice about how to cope with bullying and how to gain help.

The actors had special needs and they produced a memorable theatrical performance.
