Family Sundays

Our Family Sundays this year started on 12th October with an African drumming session delivered by Graeme Goodwin from Rhythmworks. The sun was shinning like a summers's day so we decided to do the sessions outside and get a bit of fresh air. These events tie into our Community Cohesion objectives are supported by Swindon Family Learning Partnership and endorsed by Artsmad.

The aim of the events is to earmark quality family time together and to learn and share new skills. This was aimed at Key Stage 3 students and their extended families and also Key Stage 2 families from our feeder schools. Intially there was space for thirty people but the respnse was double, so rather than turn people away I extended to two sessions. The next Family Sunday is a dance workshop held on January 25th in Commonweal's dance studio.
