Science Fun, Flight or Fight!
To celebrate 40 years since the moon landing, this was very much a hands on project! The children explored all aspects of flight through hands on workshops and experimental activities. They designed and built their own rockets and put them into action on the launch pad!
It was delivered by one of our science teachers, Miss Gingell who supplied the know how and the rocket fuel! Many thanks to Daisy Shimwell for her work as assistant tutor.
"Max has thoroughly enjoyed the science course. He's come back each day full of what he has done. He is much more confident about the transition to secondary school. I would recommend the week to any potential Yr 7!" Mrs Wilkie.
"Charlie had a chance to meet new friends and do something constructive. He enjoyed the week and getting to know kids from other schools," Mrs Carter
"I loved making the rockets," Medi
"I feel excited about coming up to Commonweal, and I enjoyed making the rockets," Thomas.
