Art Workshop, Turning Old Books Into Pieces of Art!
Children thoroughly enjoyed working with our artist in residence, Tracey Baker-Stewart. They considered the endless possibilities of recycling and revamped old books destined for the bin. Books were pushed to new boundaries as the children bent covers, jumped up and down on them, applied stain and paint and glue plus much more to create beautiful pieces of art that looked like precious relics. Thank you to Alex Styles and Evie Sharland for their help as tutor assistants.

"It was a really relaxed atmosphere and was a good week for Katie to get used to walking to school and being with people she is going to be with. It has given her more confidence. It was a real positive experience which I appreciated very much from a parents view. Lovely to hear feedback on the Friday," Mrs Parmenter.
"Tracy was really helpful and let us do our own ideas and be creative," Esme
"Esme thoroughly enjoyed the whole week. It has made her feel much more confident about coming to school in September," Mrs Lane.
