Army Air Corps Band

65 students attended the concert - all from year 10 and 11 GCSE music classes. The aim of the event was to increase the students’ awareness of live music and particularly instrument recognition. The music performed was mainly film music, which directly links to the area of study for their GCSE course. The army also handed round leaflets outlining the work experience courses that they offer that may be of interest to our students.

The band was a real inspiration and performed to an exceptional standard. The Xylophone soloists was particularly impressive as his hands were literally a blur! The students were genuinely impressed with what they both heard and saw and are keen to partake in more activities with the band in the future.
