A journalist for 25 years, Dave has worked throughout the UK as well as spell in Bahrain where he covered the first Gulf War and Lebanon Peace Talks. He has also reported on sport in this country and around the world, including the Olympic Games, international rugby and football, plus Test Match cricket.

Dave has three children, Micah, Leo and Ross; Ross suffers from autism and Dave is actively involved in working with charities to promote awareness of the disability. During 2007, he ran around the British Isles in 80 races, which included participating in a few races with Ross who he pushed in a specially-adapted sports stroller. He dressed as Scooby Doo, as a banana, raced a train, and even ran a race inside a prison during a hectic 12 months which raised more £20,000 for autism charities.

A keen sportsman, Dave also serves as a magistrate, and his other interests include theatre, cinema, music and a good old read!
