Prospect Hospice Concert
Commonweal School took part in the, 'Voices for Hospices', a global event marking
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, to raise funds for the Swindon Prospect Hospice in Wroughton.
Coordinated by Nick Weaver, the school's technician, the concert was a mixture of Blues, Rock, the Classics and Dance showcasing the talent of the school and well known local musicians. “We are very pleased to be able to raise funds for Prospect while showcasing the talents of Commonweal and Swindon musicians,” said Josie Williams, the school’s Community Arts Development Officer. “Commonweal is committed to providing performance opportunities to the wider community. The evening was a great success and I'd like to thank everyone for giving their time to aid this worthy cause.”
