Family Learning provides a splash at Commonweal School!..

The sun shone and the rich tapestry of summer unfolded in a riot of colour at the Family Mural Workshop held in the school’s French quad on 14th June.

Families from three generations joined our artist in residence Tracey Baker-Stewart for a fun afternoon which culminated in the creation of four works of art to adorn the quad walls. The theme was Performing Arts and the project is part of our Community Cohesion programme and is supported by Family Learning - Learning and Engagement Team Community Directorate and the Swindon Borough Council artsmad initiative.

In this fast paced society it is often difficult to find time for quality time together as a family and this project was a chance to ear mark some family fun on the calendar and to share skills with one another..
