Family Learning proves popular at Commonweal School!..

Sunday 29th March saw over 30 family members taking part in a 3-hour circus skills workshop led by Robbo the Clown. Participants learnt how to juggle, balls, rings and clubs. They also learnt how to use diabolos, unicycles and stilts! Interested parties were given info about Swindon Juggling and Circus Skills weekly workshops which take place at the school from 6 - 9 pm every Wednesday evening.

This event was organised by Josie Williams, Commonweal's Community Arts Development Officer and Emma Carter the school's cluster coordinator for Extended Services.

Comments from the participants.:

"It was fun learning new skills as a family."

"I'm going to be a plate spinner!"

The project was made possible through funding from Swindon Borough Council's Adult and Community Family Learning, Artsmad and Commonweal Performing Arts.
