Sixth Sense Theatre Company have been providing quality theatre for young people since 1986. Regularly funded by Arts Council of England and Swindon Borough Council, Sixth Sense tours two productions a year to schools and family audiences: an issue based production to secondary schools in the Autumn and a creative literacy based production to primary schools and public venues in the January to March of each year.

Thanks to a massive 25% increase in funding from the Arts Council, Sixth Sense is now able to extend its core programme of work to three productions a year and will be producing a new three year project, Playback, a creative writing project uniting emerging writers and young people. Sixth Sense also runs Swindon Youth Theatre, a series of twilight drama sessions for young people at the Wyvern Theatre and their outreach and education extends to special schools in the area. Sixth Sense regularly works on special projects with Crowdy's Hill School and also tours its productions to Nylands School.

Sixth Sense is keen to develop artists in Swindon and bring outside talent into the area to enhance the cultural development of Swindon. As such, Benedict Eccles, Sixth Sense's Artistic Director, sits on various committees which consider cultural strategies and policies and arts & education partnerships. He has recently been elected as Chair of TheatreWorks and interim board member for Swindon 's Cultural Development Partnership.
