Dance programme of study KS2
Students should:
- Make dances with clear beginnings, middles and ends involving improvising, exploring and refining content, and sometimes incorporating other aspects of the curriculum.
- Be given opportunities to increase the range and complexity of body actions, including step patterns and use of body parts.
- Be guided to enrich their movements by varying shape, size, direction, levels, tension and continuity.
- Respond to a range of stimuli, express feelings, moods and ideas and create simple characters and narratives through dance.
- Describe and interpret different elements of a dance.
