Aims To establish an extra curricular visual arts
club for Gifted & Talented students to work with professional artists.

To provide career development for both the students and professional artists engaged to work with the young people.

To exhibit work in school, in the community and on the schools web site in a unique virtual gallery and reach a wider audience.

To further students understanding of the arts and all that it encompasses.

To offer advice and support on all art issues as they arise.

Objectives. Working with professional artists an identified group will be able to extend their artistic skills base in both arts technique and conceptual understanding of the subject.

Sessions are lead by CAOS artist Tracey Baker-Stewart who enables the students to experience a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Young people will be actively engaged in the work of CAOS, this will include: - Visiting artists studios. - Administration of an exhibition. - Mounting and display techniques. - Viewing exhibitions and critiques.

Measurable outcomes Learning outcomes from the project will be disseminated through the artsmad news letter and links will be made through the secondary arts network managed by the LEA. An ongoing evaluation process will be established to identify the development of the young artists. It will include measurable subject specific outcomes as well as social and personal development.
